Can you please explain a little further the difference between the 35% energy emissions in figure 1 vs the 68% for energy in the pie charts? Thank you.

'Energy industries' are a subsector belonging to the overarching 'energy' sector. The energy industries subcategory tracks emissions from electricity generation, petroleum refining, gas production and solid fuel manufacture. These specific activities account for 35% of net emissions since 1990.

The 'energy' sector reports emissions from other activities in addition to those in 'energy industries'. For example, both 'transport' and 'manufacturing industries and construction' are also included as subsectors of energy. All added up, the 'energy' sector accounts for 68% of net emissions.

Also, wouldn't a large amount of the crop emissions also be attributable to animal ag, since many crops are used to feed animals? So the percentage emissions from meat and dairy would be bigger than 24%?

Yes. I am being conservative with this estimate.

Oh and is it correct to move LULUCF emissions into agriculture at all if they are a net sink? Or are LULUCF emissions only a net sink for the non-agriculture proportion of LULUCF emissions?

Yeah, the latter.
